Sarah was a dancer in the army’s band. Sarah had a boyfriend that she was in love with and in 1974 on Christmas day, she gave birth to a baby that was not Amin's.[23] Later on Amin made an announcement on the radio, stating that the baby was his. [24] Soon afterwards, Sarah's boyfriend vanished without a trace and Amin and Sarah were married August 1975. [25]She was reportedly Amin's favorite wife. Sarah remained with him long after his regime was over. But, in 1982 she left Amin in Saudi Arabia and fled to Germany. [26]The pair had three children together and Sarah described him as a very loving husband and father.[27]
